A Good 19thc Music Stand

Description

A good 19thC brass and mahogany music stand with a cast iron base. No makers mark but extremely well made with quality cast brass fittings. The solid stable cast iron base has stylized lions paw feet. The base supports a vertical brass pole with a horizontal brass bar which in turn supports the polished mahogany rectangular rest. The rest is adjustable vertically and horizontally smoothly and can be locked in place firmly. It retains its original brass page holders. The bar ends are finished with knurled brass caps. The whole can be set right or left handed.

Pole height 119 cm but with the rest at its max height 132 (to the top of the rest)

Spread of the feet 43 cm

The mahogany rest is 35 cm wide and 28.5 cm high.
