Description:

This is a fine quality and decorative antique German George V stick & umbrella hall stand, made from resin, in the shape of a Black Forest bear, early to mid-20th century, in excellent original condition. Constructed from resin and metal, the stand takes the form of a Black Forest bear, standing upright on its hind legs and with arms outstretched, with a lovely expression and open mouth and of good proportions. The arms, secured by a steel chain, prevents walking sticks and umbrellas from falling over. To the bottom of the stand is a foliate moulded plinth base, with recessed moulded drip tray, flanked by a carved forest grass and floral surface, raised on block feet to ensure the stand is sturdy. The item is solid and ready to use.

Condition Report:

This is a fine quality and decorative antique German George V stick & umbrella hall stand, made from resin, in the shape of a Black Forest bear, early to mid-20th century, in excellent original condition. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges, but nothing significant considering the age of the item. The stand has been cleaned to a professional standard, in our workshop. There is no damage to any part of the item, with no missing parts. Stands sturdy. This item is solid and ready to use.
