A four-case Japanese Edo (19thC) lacquer inro, the exterior worked in gold maki-e with hiramaki-e and takamaki-e, depicting a falcon tethered to a post on one side and a dog and blossom on the reverse. The interior is decorated in nashiji.
Edo Period, early 19th Century
Unsigned.
Height 8cm, width 5cm, depth 2cm.
Very good condition with minimal signs of wear.
