William IV Police Truncheon

19th century
Description

A good William IV policeman truncheon by Parker Holborn, made of hardwood with beautifully shaped and turned ring hand with original leather cord. The baton fine painted in black, gold and red with WR IV and the Royal Crown cypher and further red shield titled Sl II Constables. The pommel is stamped with "Parker Holborn".

In superb condition, with only very minimal wear and free from restoration; a good example.
