Rare, good sized 19th Century patinated bronze profile portrait plaque of a bare headed Napoleon in military uniform cast in high relief. Very similar to official portraits of Napoleon struck on commemorative medals towards the end of the Empire by Depaulis (see Bramson 1323 The Battle of Wurtchen). in its original bronze circular frame with loop for suspension.
