Antique 25 Bore Flint Lock Brass Barrelled Holster Pistol C1790

A good quality antique 25 bore flint lock brass barrelled holster pistol; 20cm long two stage flatted and turned flared bore brass barrell. Max o/d dia .80". The top flat engraved "London", the engraved lock plate signed "Oakes".

Full mahogany stock having brass mounts, a vacant silver owner's cartouche to shoulder. Horn capped ramrod believed to be original.

The lock very strong and working perfectly.

Samuel Oakes founded his business in London circa 1790.
