A small Chinese table screen, 19th Century, Qing dynasty. The framed, detachable screen consisting of a boxwood panel, finely carved with Shoulao, the God of Longevity, holding a basket of peaches, whilst standing on a cloud, with a recumbent deer at his side. A bat flies above, amongst clouds, and against a key fret ground. The boxwood panel is sandwiched between two green jade panels. The first carved with birds amongst flowering plants; the second with a recumbent deer, and a bell, amongst foliage.
Having a hardwood stand, inset with a reticulated jade panel of stylised scrolling foliage.

Height: 21 cm, 8 1/4.
Width: 10.3 cm, 4 1/8.
Depth: 7.3 cm, 2 7/8.
Condition: Excellent. No damage. No repair.
