Beautiful Suzani Wall Hanging Tapestry

1920 - 1940
Description

This is a most beautiful and very decorative Suzani tapestry or wall hanging dating from the early 20th century. It finely worked embroidery in wonderful bold colours with a really striking design. The piece originates from the region around Uzbekistan and is skilfully worked in colourful silks on a natural linen cloth. This embroidery is in excellent condition and would make a fine wall hanging for display or indeed a very pretty throw for a bed or sofa.

It is a good size measuring 180 cms by 143 cms
