Description

A large scale early 20th century reconstituted stone model of a recumbent lion after the originals by Sir Edwin Landseer (1802-73) at the base of Nelson's Column, Trafalgar Square.

Beautifully modelled and with good signs of natural weathering and age.

front legs have been broken in the past and skilfully repaired .
