A really attractive example of an early 20th century carved painted wood decoy pigeon. It retains its original paintwork in shades of matt grey with an attractive, slightly distressed finish. It is mounted on a stand comprised of a distressed iron pole on a solid limestone base with felt pads underneath to prevent scratches to delicate surfaces. This wonderfully stylish carved pigeon is English, c.1920s.
