Good Pair of Antique Chinese Pith Paintings of Dignitaries

Description

This is a very smart pair of Chinese paintings on pith dating from the mid 19th Century. The finely executed paintings depict two dignitaries in traditional decorative robes of deep indigo blue. The paintings are neatly double mounted and presented in attractive cream and gilt narrow frames. Both paintings and frames are in excellent condition. They measure 35 cms by 24 cms.
