Mahogany Cased English 38 Bore ‘Pepper Box Pistol" with Six Chambers

Description

An English 19th century mahogany cased 38 bore ‘PEPPER BOX PISTOL" with six chambers which revolve automatically when the trigger is pulled. It is in fine original condition. The fitted case (probably later) with contents includes powder flask; bullet mould; oil container; key and other items.

There is a blank shaped cartouche to the lid. The later case, with canted corners, has a sticker inside for Westley Richards & Co Ltd, 23 Conduit Street, London W1.

Comes complete with key.
