This is an usual and very eye-catching mid 19th Century inkwell. The cut glass spherical inkwell with hinged lid has a gilt bronze lizard wrapped around it which has beautifully fine detail and its original glass eyes. In excellent original condition this desk piece measures 13.5 cms long, 9 cms high and is 8 cms deep.
