Description

A late 19thc boxwood naturalistic carving of lotus leaves, flowers and pods with a crab and a toad nestled into the base. Large and highly decorative, beautiful carving and well patinated in two tones, ranging from a warm walnut to rich dark chocolate. Minor old repairs as even in the photographs but given the large size, age, and nature of the carving it is in remarkable condition.
