Fine Pair of French Gilt Bronze and Onyx Tazzas Circa 1880

Description

Each of the onyx bowls is centred by a finely cast roundel of a classical helmeted Greek warrior and raised on detailed naturalistic gilt bronze supports and handles on turned onyx bases.

CONDITION. Both are presented in very good condition with a few very minor nibbles and nicks to the onyx. The bronze mounts have been professionally re-gilded and some of the internal metal fixings have been replaced.
