Description

Superb quality Jaques of London in statu quo chess set in a lovely mahogany case. It features rosewood and sycamore squares, bone piece - the white is left natural, the red is coloured. The pieces have a brass dowel to the bottom which is held in place with a fantastic locking mechanism, so the pieces don't fall out when moved. This piece is stamped with makers name "Jaques of London in statu quo chess". Chessboard sizes :closed 6CM high 23CM wide 15 CM deep. Open 3CM high 29CM wide 23CM deep. King is 15mm high.
