An exceptional quality George III Sarcophagus Wine Cooler of superb colour and patina, in very good original condition. The unusually tall legs with boldly carved Loins paw feet and striking carved capitals. Constructed using highly figured Mahogany veneered onto a Mahogany groundwork and inlaid with fine Ebony stringing. Retaining the original casters that work particularly well, and the original led lining. The piece tips up to reveal untouched dry underneath surface. The impressive original Lion mask carrying handles are still in place to the sides. Circa 1800
