A small decorative Georgian plaster cast profile medallion, probably of a Roman senator. The medallion is a typical grand tour souvenir often purchased in books in Italy. This piece has been later set and framed in a period gilt frame. The setting is beautifully done and the gilt frame has a great worn look. The whole has been together for some time and has a great period look. C.1820.
