Rare American Tiger Maple Candle Stand. C. 1790

18th century
Description

RARE late 18th century AMERICAN solid tiger and birds-eye maple wood candle stand, probably from Virgina.

Beautifully turned solid stem with nice shape splay legs with original button feet beneath.

Three piece top with original block beneath.

The joints of top have sprung and could be re-jointed if required but I think better left as it is.

The most gorgeous colour and patination from years of waxing.
