A Jaques Staunton boxwood and ebony chess set circa 1890/95 in labelled box “The Staunton Chessmen. ..Two Prize Medals Awarded” bearing H.Staunton facsimile signature. Tournament size the King standing 9cm high the black one stamped in red at the base, Jaques London. The Rooks and Knights stamped with red crowns. The mahogany box with sliding lid and lined in burgundy red velvet..The box measures 17cm wide 13.5 deep 10 high
