An early 20th century Tibetan figure of Buddha Bhaisajyaguru, the Buddha of Medicine.

This highly decorative Buddha with gemset headdress and robe, seated in dhyansana, his hands in dyana mudra, a sacred hand gesture used during meditation and the attainment of spiritual perfection, holding a medicine nectar, this being a jar or bowl of medicine cures, all supported on double lotus base.

The Buddha Bhaisajyaguru or the Buddha of Medicine was said to have healing powers and the power to heal others.

This figure is in very good condition for age and can go straight into a home.
