Beautiful Decoy Duck

1900 - 1920
Description

A wonderful example of an early 20th century wooden decoy duck. It has an attractive pose with the head turned slightly to one side, its original glass eyes, and an untouched original paint finish. The colour is an attractive dappled grey with a cleverly painted spotted faded red chest. It retains its original metal pull to the front, presumably used for tethering with a string. This beautiful decoy duck is English, dating from around 1920.
