A charming 18th century gilt-framed Aubusson TAPESTRY in excellent condition. It depicts a Golden Pheasant perched within a ‘classical’ setting of flowers and trees against a background of ruined columns. (Framed and glazed; please excuse some stray reflections!)

** Aubusson (central France) is well known for its carpets and tapestries. Its origins lie with the arrival of weavers from Flanders who arrived around the end of the 16th century.
