Description

An impressive set of 19th Century Victorian cased ' Standard Scale ' Avery hanging brass balance scales to weigh 56lbs. Originally made for the Borough of Wolverhampton and likely the Dept of Weights & measures duty section. The beam scale also stamped for Borough of Wolverhampton. Cased within a large mahogany case with leather strap carry handles to side and plaque with notation to the top marked for the Borough of Wolverhampton.
