Description

An unusual but very attractive set of late 19thC early 20thC folding library steps. Well made and bearing the mark 'Jones's Patent' to the underside in black script together with the impressed marks 'The Hatherely patent Latistep' on the cast iron hinges. Also marked 'Registered trade mark ALHATHLAT. Probably made between 1890 and 1910. The steps are strong and fold perfectly. The base horizontal strut at the rear is made of pine.

Ideal in a library ,kitchen, as a bedside or sofa stand..even in a bathroom.

Height 65 cm . Width at the top 36cm. Spread at the base when open 65 cm

The step treads are about 34 cm wide by 14.5 cm deep each.
