Description

A stunning late Victorian Mahogany games board or box which folds in half, the chess set and draughts / checkers can be kept inside when not in use.

These are hard to find these days in a good size such as this and even harder to find with the Backgammon on the inside, beautifully inlaid.

This box comes complete with a turned boxwood and ebony chess set and the boxed draughts, so all ready to use.

Dating to around 1890 / late Victorian in era this wonderful set remains in excellent condition. The box measures approx 15" x 9" while closed and 18" x 15" when opened.
