Opus Antiques has dated this piece to the Georgian era.

William Darton set up his own publishing house at 56 Holborn Hill London in 1808.
Dissected puzzles were the forerunners to jigsaws. They were made very simply by placing a picture on a piece of mahjogany and cutting it into shapes. Some of the edge pieces interlock and the middle pieces just push together.
A rare survivor.
Measurements are for the box, not original but similar in style, to the original.
Remarkably all pieces have stayed together.
More images are available for the other pieces .
