Description

This brass Dollond of London 5 draw telescope, dating from the late 19th or early 20th century, must be one of the largest hand held types they made, fully drawn it measures just under 44" (112cm).

I assume it is for bird watching, stalking or military use and it needs to be rested in the prone position, balanced on the knee or a bipod to maintain a clear view. It shuts down to a neat if heavy package enclosed in its leather case.

It is in excellent condition with a clear picture.
