A Victorian Pocket Telescope

Description

A well made Victorian pocket telescope. The three drawer sections pull out firmly and smoothly. It focuses well and can view the moons craters crisply and distinctly. No discernible lens cracks or chips. Generally in very good condition and has a nice solid quality feel. The makers or retailers name is inscribed on the barrel 'R. Smith York and Scarboro'. The veneered body of the scope (which is a lovely rich colour has a scar where it joins which is the only flaw if there is one. It has an object lens removeable cap and an eyepiece sliding lens cover.
