C18th Carved Limestone Pedestal Fountain with Armillary Sundial

Description

C18th carved limestone pedestal fountain with armillary sundial; the later C19th bronze armillary resting on the pedestal base having two entwined dolphins with water holes in their mouths; on a carved, shaped rectangular plinth base with canted corners. The pedestal fountain base can be sold without the bronze armillary at a reduced price.

English circa 1780

Good condition, stable with distressing to the top of the pedestal as seen in photos, commensurate with age and use.

Dimensions (ins) 51 high with armillary; 33 high without armillary x base 20 wide x 18 deep; armillary 18 high x 13 diameter
