An incredibly stylish and most useful clothes valet in solid gilt brass and stained hardwood. This wonderful clothes horse, dating from the early part of the 20th century, has a beautifully shaped carved coat hanger — probably in beech — and a single horizontal rail for folded trousers. The fluted central column is supported on flamboyantly shaped cabriole legs on their original capped wheel casters. This eye catching valet — reminiscent of those used in luxury Edwardian hotel bedrooms — is English, and it dates from around 1900 to 1925.
