A fine looking late XIX - early XX century male papier-mache mannequin with a painted red ochre torso and black painted wooden arms (hands not original) and painted black boots.
Full size papiermache mannequins from this time are very rare to find in such exceptional condition.
Purely by the fact that he is constructed from card/ paper mache makes him a rare survivor.
There are no dents, tears or holes to the papier mache just some wear and scuff marks consistent with age.
Having articulated arms, makes him very versatile, a great interior designer''s piece.
He would look great as a butler welcoming guests in an entrance hall.
