1800 and has a moulded hinged top enclosing a fitted interior. The sides have brass carrying handles, are brass bound and this fine antique stands on raised tapering legs capped with brass castors. The Mahogany has aged to a warm mellow shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
