Good Quality Boxed Ebony and Boxwood Staunton Chess Set

Description

A good quality boxed Ebony and Boxwood STAUNTON CHESS SET.

The green signature label on top of the sliding lid, together with the design of the Knights and the crown marks on the Rooks indicate this set is dated between 1920-1930. The King stands at 3.5 inches tall and 'Jaques London' is stamped on the upper rim of the base.

This set is not weighted, and each piece has a green baize base.

The mahogany case with sliding lid is in good condition and is lined in green baize. The green label is affixed to the top of the box lid.
