superb pair of gilt wood and gesso jardinieres with good provenance.

the oval shaped wire work lift off tops have wonderful applied gesso floral decorations, the supports of each are fabulously ornate with gilt leaves and three classical female figures with gilt detail, raised on tripod base ( larger piece for sale separately ) .

normal wear and tear commensurate with age and use but overall the jardinieres are in good sound condition, the photographs do not do these beautiful pieces justice at all and they must be seen to be truly appreciated.
