An unusual shaped antique treen kmitting sheath with long handle with a ball to the end. Chip carved decoration with diagonal slot for the apron strings. Carved diamond and initials M T. Dated 1796.

It measures 18cm l x 2.3cm w x 2.3cm d

I have only found one illustration similar inBrears paper where it is said to be from Tebay.in Cumbria.
