C19th Horse Measuring Walking Stick

An excellent condition 19th Century brass, steel and wood gadget walking stick.

Pulling the knop handle will reveal the numbered brass square shaft which also incorporates the steel 'withers' or shoulder measure. This horse measuring stick measures up to seventeen hands.

A great equine piece for the collector.

The brass/steel ferrule is original.

Cane diameter at the knop handle is 3.5cm.

Cane diameter at the ferrule is 2cm.

Size 94cm in total length.
