A Philips 9'' Terrestrial Globe

1920 - 1940
Description

A Philips 9'' terrestrial globe circa 1930. Shows Persia, Siam, Leningrad and Russian SFSR. Turned ebonised base and stem holding a brass semi-circular support with the correct fittings top and bottom. Rotates freely. Generally in good condition with age related cracks along the equator, blemishes and a small worn patch within the Dominion of Canada close to Alaska (see photos).Overall a good colour with good patina.

Overall 40 cm approx. high

25.5 max wide.

The base is 20 cm in diameter.
