ANTIQUE #SA662163

Painted Pedestal Column

Status: This item has been sold
Sold by: Prometheus Antiques

A Victorian pedestal later painted to imitate a stone sundial. The pedestal is of a very heavy construction and appears to be mahogany veneered under the paintwork. The pedestal has been later painted, probably in the fifties to resemble a stone column with a sundial top, the painting is to a lovely standard. The whole is in worn used condition and has a great look, it was probably quite worn before it was painted as the paint effect goes over some missing veneer at the base.
