Heydays Antiques has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
A lovely reminder of the times when people flocked to the Coast for the summer break and they provide an insight to social history; the clothing. Bathing facilities, entertainments, buildings etc. The paperback issues measure 35cms x 28cms and the actual pictures 25.5cms x 18.5cms with information on each resort printed below. They would look good framed. Re. Condition of the issues, they do date from 1895 and the soft covers have deteriorated with age related wear and many are detached, blackened and in places torn and disintegrating. The pictures themselves, however, are in the most part quite good. Some of the page edges have blackened with age and some have water stains/foxing. Please see photos. Please ask any questions and, of course, they can be viewed by appointment.
