Description

This is a really stylish early 20th century brass Ganesh mask with multi stone embellishment detail. The colourful mask has hundreds of coral and turquoise stones set into brass wire-scrolls in the cloisonne manner. The third eye of insight is central to the piece. The eyes are in bone inset with a purple semi precious polished stone and the mask has stylised tusks represented in a polished hardstone strip.

A most attractive and unusual piece dating from around 1920.

The mask measures 24 cms by 17 cms.
