Description

An impressive painted pedestal comprised of a rectangular overhanging top supported by a bold cabriole leg terminating in a lion's paw foot. The plinth base is comprised of a block having oval patera to three elevations with brass feet beneath. This eye-catching pedestal, with fixing brackets already installed to secure it safely to the wall, would grace any room in the house, especially an entrance hall. It would make a great jardiniere stand for a work of art or a vase of flowers. English, c.1920.
