A fine early 20th century curling stone. The ebony and metal handle still retains its original scallop-edged leather apron, and the main body, in solid Scottish granite, is banded in a coarse finish with a polished surface above and below. This beautiful curling stone would grace any farmhouse table as an eye-catching accessory, or it could be used as a perfect doorstop. British, c.1910.
