A rare pair of stick stands by the renowned and collected Rowland Ward.

Giraffe Skin stick stands are very rare as usually this type of “Wardian Furniture” – as it was called by Rowland Ward at the time – was commonly made by using elephant feet.

Dating from the late Victorian/Edwardian period, they are in remarkably good condition with solid wooden bases, each with inset ivory or ivorine labels inscribed with Rowland Ward Ltd “The jungle” 167 Piccadilly. W.
