An astonishing find: a superb example of an medium/large early 20th century drum from the 2nd Battalion of the Royal Scots Fusiliers. Flanking the elaborately depicted polychrome central Royal coat of arms are further panels commemorating many famous battles including the Somme, Gallipoli, and Ypres. It is without skins, so can be used at mid to high level for decorative display purposes or, perhaps, used as the base for a low table. This remarkable piece is British, c.1920''s, and is in original untouched condition.
