Highly Decorative Late 19thc Chinese Hardwood & Mother of Pearl Square Pot Stand

A highly decorative late 19th century Chinese hardwood and mother of pearl square pot stand with marble insert, of excellent quality.

The pot stand consists of a square moulded hardwood top with recessed shaped rouge marble with inlaid mother of pearl border and mother of pearl floral and foliate inlaid decoration with inlaid circular mother of pearl design to the edge.

This leads down to a shaped frieze with inlaid mother of pearl floral and foliate designs with pierced and carved decoration with inlaid mother of pearl design to the top of each leg.

This leads down to a square shelf with shaped frieze consisting of inlaid mother of pearl designs, the four legs terminating with stylised scroll foot.

This pot stand is in excellent condition for age, is of stable construction and can go straight into a home.
