Description

GILLOWS of LANCASTER: an excellent quality CELLARETTE or WINE COOLER, by this famous firm of cabinet-makers.

The well-figured top with its gadroon-carved edge, opens to reveal the lead-lined divided interior. The 'panelled' front and sides are also of beautifully-figured mahogany and flanked on each corner by elegant carved stylised columns. It is supported on carved "apple" shaped solid mahogany feet, and original castors within.

A really good cellarette which due to its flat top, can also be used as a side or lamp table. Working lock and key. 28ins wide; 21ins deep; 18ins high. (71x53x46cms)
