This is an early full tree calf set of four volumes published by L Davis, J F and C Rivington and T Payne and Son, London. The volumes, charting the history of England from earliest times to the death of George II in 1760, make an attractive set with gilt tooling to the spines. For their age they are in very good condition, structurally very sound with some very slight rubbing to the leather and light foxing to some pages.
