Victorian Marble Sink Surround

19th century
Description

Circa 1880, unusual and rare solid marble sink surround. The white speckled marble, which is 5cm thick, has an oval aperture in the centre and two carved shell soap holders. It has a raised lip and half round fore-edge. It has a three quarter gallery to the back tapering down at the sides which is approximately 20 cm high. There are two original taps and intact plug.

Size 25 cm high x 94 cm wide x 69 cm deep (including the gallery)
