Rare antique early 20th century Chinese bronze coin sword, c 1920. Comprised of bronze coinage held together by material and decorated with tassels these swords were used by Taoist priests in ancient China. Today they still have religious significance and are often used in Feng Shui to safeguard a family home or business. Known as 'Pi Hsieh' in Chinese it translates as "sword that wards off evil". It has aged well with great rich colour/patina. Overall condition is good with only minor surface wear / rubbing.
